Jennifer Alexis, MLT, MSc (She/Her)
Laboratory Supervisor and Senior Embryologist
Working closely with our Lab Director, Jennifer Alexis supervises the in-house IVF, Andrology and Blood Labs at TRIO. She has been at TRIO since 2003, after earning her Master’s Degree in Clinical Embryology from the University of Leeds in 2002.
As Lab Supervisor, Jennifer’s work involves managing all three labs and facilitating the day-to-day work for each of her lab teams. She also works hands-on as a Senior Embryologist in the IVF Lab.
“I love that the field is constantly changing and that it touches so many people,” says Jennifer. “It’s fascinating to see the new technologies and techniques as they are applied in the lab. I find it very rewarding to be able to help people complete their families.”
Before working in the field of fertility medicine, Jennifer was a Medical Laboratory Technologist working in a biochemistry lab. Jennifer is a member of the CFAS, ASRM and CSMLS (Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science).
