Dr. Mohammad Albar, FRCSC, REI (He/Him)
Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Specialist (REI)
Dr. Mohammad Albar earned his medical degree (MBBS) at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia with First Class Honours. He then completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto and a Fellowship in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (GREI) at the University of Toronto. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Albar completed a Master’s degree in Embryology and Assisted Reproductive Technology at the University of Valencia/IVI-RMA and a degree in Total Quality Management that focuses on improvements in healthcare standards and patient safety. Dr. Albar is also a registered sonographer, certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
During his GREI Fellowship training, Dr. Albar taught medical students and residents training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. After completing his Fellowship, Dr. Albar did a locum at Mount Sinai Fertility, working as a clinical associate to provide patient care and continuing to train medical students and residents. As part of his Master’s program in Assisted Reproductive Technology, he worked in the IVI-RMA Valencia embryology lab in Mallorca, where he had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the newest advancements in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology.
Dr. Albar is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and a member of The Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
As an REI at TRIO, Dr. Albar strives to deliver comprehensive patient care and a patient-centred experience. He appreciates that everyone’s fertility journey is unique and aims to understand his patient’s hopes, wishes and values.
